Rodrigo Seabra with two podiums at the Rotax Max Challenge Portugal


After the last race in Portimão, the second round of the Rotax Max Challenge Portugal 2020 returned last weekend after five months of forced stop by the world pandemic of Covid-19. On the first day of races scheduled for this weekend at the Viana do Castelo Karting Circuit, Rodrigo Seabra was always among the fastest riders in free practice. After failing the qualifying session on Saturday, Rodrigo Seabra managed to give a spectacle to those who watched the race, with a reassembly from the end of the grid in the two races of the day, ending the first day of the races with the Final classification of P3 overall, marking the fastest lap with 49,640 secs. In the Sunday race, the Pilot of Maia made the 2nd fastest lap of the timed training with 49.80 seconds, thus marking his place in the first row of the starting grid of the two races, and ending the day of the tests with the classification of P1 in general, always with strong opposition and pressure from its main opponents. In this new stage, the pilot is being accompanied by the Cabo do Mundo Karteam team, to which he thanks all of his support and commitment in helping him to achieve the desired results for this championship - “It was a spectacular weekend. I am very happy because I have not run since February where I did the European Open Rotax Max Challange in Malaga, Spain. I thank everyone for their support, my sponsors for believing in me and my Cabo do Mundo Karteam team! ” - says Rodrigo Seabra. The winner of the Rotax Max Challenge Portugal 2020 will qualify for the World Finals, which will be played this year in Portugal at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve (KIA), in Portimão, between 23 and 30 January 2021, thus canceling the place previously predicted. that would be in Bahrain, in the United Arab Emirates. This event will receive in Portugal around 360 pilots from around 60 countries. Rodrigo Seabra will work to be able to represent Portugal and its sponsors in the world finals.
