Rodrigo Seabra was once again in strong performance on the 3rd race of the OK Junior - ADAC Kart Masters, on the weekend of July 2nd and 3rd, in Oschersleben, Germany. The Portuguese driver, who carries the portuguese flag colors, showned his excellent performance in OK Junior, considered the most difficult and professional karting category in Europe. The adaptation to the track was quick, which he was completely unknown, and on the Friday free practice the driver was always among the first top 3. On Saturday, Rodrigo took second place in qualifying, just 0.084s from Pole Position, but a penalty dropped to fifth position, consequence for having crossed the white line at the exit of Parc Fermé. Under very difficult weather conditions that were felt all weekend, with very high temperatures, Rodrigo Seabra finished both race heats in P2 and P5, and took a P4 starting place for the first race on Sunday. In Final 1, the Portuguese driver achieved a brilliant P3. In the final 2, Rodrigo finished the race in P4, despite having a P2 until the last 3 laps. The Portuguese pilot thus climbed to the podium in a more than deserved P3, where he did not forget to carry his Portuguese flag with him. Rodrigo is in 4th place in the overall ADAC standings, being the best Rookie in the championship - "This weekend was very intense... the track was very fast and this category is physically much more demanding. I'm tired, but very proud of my result, too bad I didn't make the pole position... it was possible! I was always very focused, and my team did an incredible job with my Set up, as well as Bas Lammers who was a great help outside track!” - said the young driver. At 11 years old, Rodrigo is the youngest in the field and stands out again for all his hard work and talent. Remember that last week, Remax, the biggest real estate company in Portugal, announced a sponsorship deal with young driver Rodrigo Seabra. The sponsor contract is for 10 years and can help the Portuguese prodigy driver to reach higher levels in the motorsport aims until his 21st birthday. The goal is to reach the pinnacle of motorsport. It should be highlighted that this is a non-exclusive agreement that allows other companies to aid on the talent of the young driver. Next race will be the OK Junior - DKM Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft, from July 15th to 17th, in Ampfing, Germany, where Rodrigo leads the rookie championship and is in 6th place overall.
Rodrigo Seabra Brilha no ADAC Kart Masters
Rodrigo Seabra esteve uma vez mais em grande plano na terceira prova do campeonato OK Júnior Alemão da ADAC Kart Masters, e reforça a liderança na categoria OK Júnior Rookie, dos 11 aos 15 anos, no fim-de-semana de 2 e 3 de Julho, em Oschersleben, Alemanha.
O piloto português, que eleva consigo as cores nacionais, demonstrou a sua excelente performance em OK Júnior, considerada a categoria de karting mais difícil e profissional da Europa.
A adaptação à pista, que desconhecia por completo foi rápida, e na sexta-feira de treinos livres esteve sempre entre os primeiros 3 primeiros lugares. Sábado, nos treinos cronometrados, Rodrigo fez o segundo lugar na qualificação a apenas 0,084s da Pole Position, mas uma penalização para P5 foi a consequência por ter pisado a linha branca à saída do parque fechado.
Com condições climatéricas difíceis e temperaturas muito altas que se fizeram sentir todo o fim de semana, Rodrigo Seabra, terminou as duas heats de corrida em P2 e P5, conseguindo assim obter o lugar de saída de P4 para a primeira corrida de domingo.
Na final 1, o piloto Português alcançou um brilhante P3, sempre com a volta mais rápida e com constantes lutas. Na final 2, Rodrigo terminou a prova em P4, apesar de ter andado em P2 até às últimas 3 voltas. O piloto Português subiu assim ao pódio num P3 mais que merecido, onde não se esqueceu de carregar consigo a sua bandeira de Portugal.
A somar pontos no ADAC Kart Masters, Rodrigo encontra-se no 4º Lugar da classificação à geral sendo o melhor Rookie do campeonato ADAC - "Este fim de semana foi muito intenso, a pista era muito rápida e esta categoria é fisicamente muito mais exigente. Estou cansado, mas muito orgulhoso do meu resultado, pena não ter feito a pole position... era possível! Tive sempre muito concentrado e a minha equipa fez um trabalho incrível com o meu Kart, assim com o Bas Lammers, uma grande ajuda fora de pista!” - disse o piloto Português.
Com 11 anos, Rodrigo é o mais novo do pelotão e destaca-se novamente por todo o seu trabalho e talento. De relembrar que na passada semana a Re/max Portugal assinou um contrato de patrocínio a 10 anos com o Jovem Português, ajudando assim Rodrigo a subir a escada do desporto motorizado até completar 21 anos, juntamente com outros patrocinadores, uma vez que o contrato não é exclusivo no apoio ao piloto.
Próxima prova será a terceira prova do campeonato OK Júnior Alemão, DKM Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft, dias 15 a 17 de julho, em Ampfing, Alemanha, onde Rodrigo lidera o campeonato rookie e está em 6º lugar da classificação geral.
