The first edition of ‘Iame International Games’ took place last weekend at Portimão, under the organization of the RGMMC group. Rodrigo Seabra (Kart Republic) started the non qualifying practice on Friday in the top four drivers, in a total of a 31 drivers. A grid with the best drivers who competed in the European Iame championship this season 2020. Seabra was one of the drivers in MiniX30 that stood out in this class, being one of the fastest. He occupied the sixth position in qualifying with the mark of 1m08.081s. The starting grid that Seabra reached was a P6 and should allowed him to quickly reach the front places. However, on Saturday he was the victim of an accident on the first lap. Returning to the track, he still manages to recover six positions finishing in 11th position, in the next round he finishes in 9th position and in the last race he finished in 2nd position. At the end of the racing day Seabra occupied the 12th position of the exit, a sixth starting grid for the pre final. Rodrigo tried to achieve an even better result for the final. Unfortunately due to the very difficult weather conditions, Seabra ends in the same position as P12, but a 5 seconds penalty made him go back some places to P19 Position. In the final race, the 9-year-old driver finished the final race in P16. Although it was not a final result that mirrored his performance at the international racing weekend, Rodrigo always had a very positive attitude - “My goal for this weekend was to be able to go along with the top front pilots and I did It in training qualifying. I am very happy with my achievements. My team, Cabo do Mundo KartTeam, my mechanic João, my coach Bruno Borlido and Filipe did a great job so that I could be competing at the highest level. I will be even better for next season because I will train harder!” The Pilot sponsor by Remax ends the 2020 season with the certainty that he will return to compete in international events for the next season.
