Rodrigo Seabra was in Italy for the third round of the Iame Euro Series European Championship, at the international track 7 Laghi, in Castelletto. With a total of 54 drivers , the 10 year old Portuguese driver was one of the protagonists for his brilliant performance throughout the weekend and evolution.
On the qualifying day, in the official free practice, Rodrigo Seabra beat all the competition in a wet practice. For official qualifying, he achieved a P5 in his group and a P9 overall, thus securing a 5th place on the grid in the qualifying heats.
With the excellent performances in the 3 heats, he achieved a P11 and two victories. The pilot defended from all the attacks, showing his good progress and the goals he wanted to achieve in this race of the European Iame championship.
In the pre-final, he started from the front row of the peloton in P2 and immediately in the second corner he already was in command. Due to a race touch he made the young driver fall to the last, having managed to recover to P27 but a penalty of 5 seconds made him finish in P31.
In the Final race, Rodrigo had an extraordinary performance. Leaving from P31, and in just 4 laps, the Portuguese driver achieved the impossible and after more than 20 overtakings was already in the Top 10 and with the fastest lap! The fight for the podium was still possible, however the driver suffered another race touch that made him fall again from last place. Still, without still 5 laps to go, Rodrigo Seabra still managed to position himself for P27, with a brilliant driving performance - "This race in Italy did not have the finish we worked for. However, we were always very competitive in all situations, in the wet or dry. I always wanted to achieve the podium and I showed it on the track. The final outcome was very tough but races are just like that… Now I am focused on Genk in Belgium! Thanks to my team, my mecanic Marky Mark and Colin Brown for all the hard work!" said the Oliver Rowland Motorsport driver.
Rodrigo will be back for the last race of the European championship Iame on the 26th to 29th of August, on the international track of Genk in Belgium, representing the Portuguese colors.

Rodrigo Seabra em prestação brilhante em Itália, na terceira prova do Campeonato Europeu Iame
Rodrigo Seabra participou este fim-de-semana na terceira prova do campeonato Europeu Iame Euro Series em Itália, na pista internacional 7 Laghi, em Castelletto.
Com um total de 54 pilotos adversários provenientes de todo o mundo, o piloto português de 10 anos foi um dos protagonistas pela sua brilhante prestação durante todo o fim de semana de corridas e de treinos oficiais, não pelo resultado final mas por todo o seu desempenho e evolução que continua a demonstrar.
No dia de cronometrados, nos treinos livres oficiais, Rodrigo Seabra bateu toda a concorrência num treino à chuva. Já na qualificação oficial alcançou um P5 no seu grupo e um P9 à geral, garantindo assim um quinto lugar na grelha de partida nas heats de qualificação.
Com as excelentes prestações nos 3 heats, alcançou um P11 e duas vitórias. O piloto defendeu- se de todos os ataques dos pilotos adversários mostrando o seu bom andamento e os objectivos que queria alcançar nesta corrida do campeonato Europeu Iame.
Na pré-final partiu da primeira linha do pelotão em P2 e logo na segunda curva já comandava o pelotão. Há quarta volta e devido a um toque de corrida fez com que o piloto da Maia caísse para último tendo conseguindo recuperar para P27 mas uma penalização de 5 segundos fez com que terminasse em P31.
Na grande corrida final, Rodrigo teve uma prestação extraordinária. Saindo de P31 e em apenas 4 voltas o piloto português conseguiu o impossível e após mais de 20 ultrapassagens e encontrando-se já no Top 10 e com a volta mais rápida do pelotão a luta pelo pódio ainda era possível, no entanto o Piloto sofreu um toque de um adversário que o fez cair novamente de para último lugar. Ainda assim, sem baixar os braços a 5 voltas do final, Rodrigo Seabra ainda conseguiu posicionar-se para P27, ultrapassando assim um total de 30 pilotos em pista durante a final, com uma prestação de condução brilhante - "Esta corrida em Itália não teve o desfecho que nós ambicionamos. Estivemos sempre muito competitivos em todas as situações, quer em chuva quer em seco. Tive sempre andamento para estar no pódio e demonstrei-o em pista. Foi muito duro o desfecho final, mas as corridas são mesmo assim… Já estou focado já na próxima em Genk na Bélgica! Obrigado à minha equipa por todo o trabalho!", disse o piloto integrado na equipa Britânica Oliver Rowland Motorsport.
Rodrigo estará de regresso para a última prova do campeonato europeu Iame nos dias 26 a 29 de Agosto, na pista internacional de Genk na Bélgica, representando novamente a bandeira de Portugal.
